The Sons of Mary working in the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall had to leave the diocese hastily on June 1, 2005, moving ahead by a month the date which had first been agreed upon and was then unilaterally changed by the Bishop, His Excellency, Paul-André Durocher.
Here is another departure having to take place under the sign of the cross, after ten years of dedication by the Sons and Mary and after unsuccessful attempts by the authority to bring them to deny their Foundress and the Army of Mary.
Bishop Durocher’s decision was circulated in the newspapers and commented in a biased fashion, a treatment the Army of Mary is used to receiving on the part of the religious authorities in Canada. Here is the light which the Sons of Mary can shed upon this sad story.
