THE PRAYER AND THE PICTURE

The Prayer
On February 11, 1951, on the anniversary of the first apparition of “Celle” who identified herself at Lourdes with her eternal name, the Immaculate Conception, the Lady of All Peoples gave a prayer to the seeress, a short and simple prayer, in order to preserve the peoples from the “corruption, disaster and war” threatening all humanity.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father,
send now your Spirit over the earth.
Let the Holy Spirit live
in the hearts of all peoples,
that they may be preserved
from corruption, disaster
and war.
May the Lady of All Peoples,
who once was Mary,
be our Advocate. Amen.

The Picture
As with Catherine Labouré to whom Mary asked that a medal be made, the Lady asked Ida Peerdeman to spread her picture: “You will have a picture made of this. You will propagate it at the same time as the prayer which I gave you” (March 4, 1951).

And the Lady gave her all the details. She was standing on a globe with her back to the Cross. About her in a luminous arc, the following words were printed in black letters: DE VROUWE VAN ALLE VOLKEREN (THE LADY OF ALL PEOPLES). About the globe, a flock of white sheep through which black sheep are intermingled, as though coming up from the depths. Some are moving forward grazing; the majority, however, are looking up, gazing fixedly at the Lady and the Cross. Others, lying down with heads raised, are also looking up. Next to the globe, lambs are lying. And the Lady declared:

“Child, you must engrave this picture in your memory in order to transmit it faithfully. The flock of sheep symbolizes the peoples of the entire world, which will not find repose except in lying down and peacefully contemplating the Cross, the central point of this world. And now, observe my hands and give an account of what you see” (May 31, 1951).

And the seeress saw, in the middle of the Lady’s hands, what appeared to be a wound from which streamed forth three rays. And these rays appeared to be illuminating the sheep. The Lady smiled at her and said:

“These three rays are those of Grace, of Redemption, of Peace” (May 31, 1951).

Importance of the Prayer and the Picture
So many graces, blessings and possibilities for a better world are attached to this prayer given by the Lady that, as a result, humanity will return to God and “corruption, disaster and war” will gradually diminish.

“You have no idea of the immense value of the prayer to men who will accept it and will promise to recite it each day. You do not know what the future will bring” (April 15, 1951).

“Let it be hoped then, that men will recite each day this prayer, simple and so short. Very short and very simple; it was given as such in order that each one in this modern and very busy world might be able to say it; given in order to beseech the True Spirit to deign to come into the world” (September 20, 1951).

“This prayer has been given for the liberation of the world. This prayer has been given for the conversion of the world. In all your activities, recite this prayer” (December 31, 1951).

“The Lady of All Peoples promises to give peace, true peace. But the peoples, WITH the Church – and mark this well: WITH THE CHURCH –, will have to say my prayer” (March 20, 1953).

“You, the peoples of this time, know that the Lady of All Peoples is protecting you. Call upon her intercession; have recourse to her as Advocate; ask her to ward off all disaster. Ask her to banish corruption from this world. For from corruption comes disaster; for from corruption is born war, and it is through my prayer that you will ask that the world be spared all these scourges. Ah! If you only knew what importance and what power this prayer has before God! He will listen to His Mother when she will wish to be your Advocate” (May 31, 1955).

“Who once was Mary”
The expression “who once was Mary” may astonish. Yet, these were the words said by Mary herself and she gives a very simple and easy to understand explanation of this expression which cannot be changed.

“WHO ONCE WAS MARY. Here is the meaning of this expression: Mary was known as MARY by a great number of men. But now, in the new era which is opening, I wish to be known as the Lady of All Peoples. And everyone can understand that” (July 2, 1951).

“MAY THE LADY OF ALL PEOPLES, WHO ONCE WAS MARY, BE OUR ADVOCATE. That must remain as it is. This time is our time. Tell the theologians: the Lady was present at the Sacrifice of the Cross. The Son said to His Mother ‘Behold thy Son.’ So the change goes back to the Sacrifice of the Cross.

“The Lord and Creator chose, from among all women, to be the Mother of His Divine Son, Myriam, or Mary. She became the Lady, the Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix when the Sacrifice of the Cross was consummated. And it was the Son who proclaimed this at the moment of His return to the Father. That is why, in this time, I reveal this new name, and I say, ‘I am the Lady of All Peoples who once was Mary.’ ” (April 6, 1952).

Imprimaturs
As predicted, a merciless battle was waged against Mary’s requests. Fortunately, more than two hundred bishops and cardinals perceived the Marian mystery and immediately granted the imprimatur to this prayer. One of these was His Eminence Cardinal Jaime L. Sin of Manilla, Philippines. In 1981, speaking with Father Leon Boarman from the United States, an Affiliated Member of the Family of the Sons and Daughters of Mary, visiting the islands, he also gave a note in which he not only approved the prayer but also mentioned that it was urgent that the devotion to the Lady of All Peoples be accepted. We know that religious practice in the Philippines is florishing and that on January 15, 1995, more than five million people welcomed Pope John Paul II on his voyage in the area.

On March 25, 1994, His Eminence Cardinal Albert Decourtray, Primate of the Gauls, granted the imprimatur to the prayer of the Lady of All Peoples, doing so in all simplicity and humility, without any change.

On September 8, 1994, this Cardinal also authorized a petition in favor of the recitation of the prayer of the Lady of All Peoples “in the Church” and the “proclamation of the Dogma of Mary Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate” so that the peoples may be preserved from corruption, disaster and war.

As of May 31, 1997, this powerful prayer has been translated in seventy-two languages.
