First pilgrimage of the Army of Mary to Europe:

“MARIAN PILGRIMAGE”
France, Italy and Portugal
from September 5/6 to 21, 1974

September 5 and 6, 1974, two planes chartered for the Army of Mary with 164 and 174 passengers (338) aboard take-off from Montreal for a trip to Europe, thus fulfilling the Lord’s words to Marie-Paule on January 25, 1971: “ONE DAY A PLANE WILL BE CHARTERED BY THE MARIAN WORK ESPECIALLY FOR A TRIP TO ROME.”

In fifteen days, the pilgrims visited Lourdes, Paris, Rome, Assisi and Fatima.

On September 14, in the apse of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome, was held the Apotheosis of Peace presided over by His Excellency Bishop Jean-Pierre van Lierde, the Holy Father’s Vicar General for Vatican City.
