PILGRIMAGE IN HONOR
OF THE IMMACULATE
Poland, Belgium and France

September 15 to October 3, 1978

On September 15, 1978, two chartered aircrafts carrying 335 pilgrims flew over the Atlantic. A third group stopped over in West Germany. This brought to 352, the number of pilgrims to cross the “iron curtain” in order to pray the Immaculate in Father Kolbe’s homeland (Niepokalanow) and the Black Virgin at Czestochowa.

During the preparation of this pilgrimage, the Lord reminded Marie-Paule: “REMEMBER: THIS PILGRIMAGE WILL BE MADE IN HONOR OF THE IMMACULATE, AND IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS YOU WILL MAKE THE PILGRIMAGE FOR THE POPE.”

Would this pilgrimage in Poland, which opened the way for the pilgrimage for the Pope, be linked, according to God’s designs, to projects with regard to Mary’s Pope? God would speak through His events.

After a short stay in Belgium, the pilgrims headed for France, the last stage of their journey on European soil.

At Lourdes, they were astonished to learn of His Holiness Pope John Paul I’s death which had come about on September 29, after only a thirty-three day reign.

On October 1, the angel Saint Michael once again told Marie-Paule: “AS OF LOURDES YOU ARE ALWAYS TO WEAR YOUR LONG WHITE DRESS.” She obeyed but not without an inner struggle and, on October 2, donned this dress forever.
