PILGRIMAGE IN HONOR OF
SAINT JOHN AND SAINT PAUL
Greece and Italy

September 27 to October 11, 1989

From September 27 to October 11, 1989, a new crusade of prayer was undertaken to Greece and Italy in honor of the apostles Saint John and Saint Paul.

Thus it was that over 340 pilgrims from Canada, the United States, France and Italy, found themselves at the heart of the city of Athens to pray and fraternize.

Greece - The AcropolisThe Orthodox church of Saint Andrew
From September 27 to October 2, 1989, the pilgrims visited Greece,
including the remains of the Acropolis and the Orthodox church of Saint Andrew.

Piraeus, Corinth, the Greek Isles, Patras, etc. were also on the program, leading the pilgrims, day after day, in the footsteps of the two apostles whose passage in these places left a mark of holiness.

On September 30, the pilgrims took a cruise ship across the Aegean Sea, with its magnificent beauty unveiling itself to the marveling gaze of the passengers, thus revealing the majesty and grandeur of God the Creator.

Then, on October 2, after having crossed the Adriatic Sea by ship, the members continued their voyage in Italy with visits to Brindisi, San Giovanni Rotondo, Lanciano, Rome, Anagni and L’Aquila where another group of pilgrims joined them bringing to over five hundred the number present on October 7 for the ordination to the priesthood of five Sons of Mary.
