APOSTOLIC VOYAGE IN HONOR OF
OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION
Jamaica
January 15 to February 12 – and March 5 to 19, 1995

This apostolic voyage to Jamaica in honor of Our Lady of the Assumption was divided into two stages and extended over a period of more than two months, from January 15 to March 19, 1995.

It was as a result of the preceding year’s pilgrimage that this apostolic voyage was organized for the purpose of renovating an old colonial-style house located in Black River next to the Daughters of Mary’s mission, in order for it to be appropriate to house orphan children.

The workers, men and women of all trades, generously gave of themselves so that
this ancestral house might appropriately house orphan children.

This twenty-fifth voyage organized by the Army of Mary aroused a wonderful upsurge of generosity on the part of the Knights, for over a hundred pilgrims responded to the call, putting all their knowledge and experience to good use, without counting the effort or the fatigue, in order to serve such a noble cause. In the group, some would go so far as to offer six weeks of volunteer service in favor of the less fortunate. What beautiful generosity!
