Thus, on Sunday, June 23, His Excellency Most Reverend Eugène P. LaRocque, Bishop of Alexandria-Cornwall in Ontario proceeded with the ordination of four Sons of Mary, two of whom were French and two from Quebec, with the permission and in the presence of His Excellency Most Reverend Paul Michael Boyle, Apostolic Vicar of Mandeville in Jamaica. The next day, a large gathering at Saint-Hyacinthe marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Army of Mary. |
Then the one hundred and fourteen pilgrims from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Chile travelled the provinces byways, taking advantage of the beauty of nature in various tourist spots and discovering, through visits to different shrines, the religious heritage which has marked Quebecs history.
On June 28, the time had come to return home, after a tour of Lac-Etchemin and Quebec City, which was a beautiful way to end this stay in Canada.
