Life of Love and Its Affiliated Souls – Marian Souls

The fourth volume of Life of Love, entitled Life of Love and Its Affiliated Souls – Marian Souls, contains biographical sketches of certain members of the Marian Group who are spoken of in the first volumes of Life of Love.

These souls, encountered through the chance dispositions of providential events, in the simplicity of their faith, humility and purity, instantly believed in this Work of love, consenting to journey along in obscurity and silence, while savoring the joy of allowing themselves to be plucked by the divine Gardener.

What a consolation for heaven bending down over these souls firmly fixed to the cross and to Love!

These are souls which have lived their lives in the greyness of daily life, yet they were turned towards that steep peak which is holiness and to which we are all called, whatever form God’s call may take, whatever may be the vocation. (...)

These biographical sketches, written in 1969 and 1970, are presented today in the order in which Marie-Paule received them.
  • Miss Fernande Levasseur: generosity in celibacy.
  • Sister Jeanne d’Arc Demers: generous fidelity in total aridity.
  • Mr. Maurice D’Amours: father of a family who was a priest in desire.
  • Sister Sainte-Jacqueline (Brigitte Fournier): a model of charity, confidence and love.
  • Marie-Jeanne and Daniel White: tried religious life, then a pure courtship and marriage.
  • Sister Marie-Stella (Lucille Mayrand): a Trinitarian soul.
  • Mrs. Armande Pilon: mother of a family whose life radiates to the exterior.

In 1993, the time had come to make them known. They will be a source of inspiration and encouragement for all those men and women who will meditate them and benefit from them.
