“LIFE OF LOVE AND THE
LADY OF ALL PEOPLES

In 1967, Raoul Auclair, a Marian and eschatological author from France, published the book La Dame de tous les Peuples [“The Lady of All Peoples”], after having given a lecture on this topic in Paris. It was at the request of a Dutch religious authority that he agreed to publish these messages, adding a preface to the volume.

During that same year, the book was distributed in Quebec and individuals with a fervent love of Mary, without knowing each other, immediately began reciting the prayer of the Lady of All Peoples.

At the beginning of September of this same year, Marie-Paule, now living in Quebec City, went into the Catholic Action bookstore, and immediately upon entering, her attention was caught by a book placed upright on the corner of a shelf. On the cover was a picture of the Blessed Virgin standing on the terrestrial globe, her back against a black cross. She looked at it, trying to understand what this signified. She thumbed through the book, then put it back because she did not find the title The Lady of All Peoples and the picture very attractive. She bought the book she had come for and then made her way towards the door. Once again, she felt drawn to this book The Lady of All Peoples, but she resisted the attraction and left the store.

Now, a few days later, Marie-Paule received this book by mail from a lady friend. So she read it, discovering in it the meaning of certain sentences related to the revelations she herself had received in 1958. She re-read the book five times. She immediately accepted, with all her heart, the cause of the Lady of All Peoples. Everything in it seemed to her so simple and without a trace of complication. Thus, she had the certainty that she would one day meet its messenger.

The Founding of the Army of Mary
Shortly after her arrival in Quebec City in 1965, Marie-Paule became the inspiring force behind the Marian Group, formed according to the dictates of providential meetings and bound together by the ties of spiritual friendship and a common ideal of perfection. Each year, a pilgrimage brought together this “Marian Group on the march”, whose members hailed from different regions of Canada and the United States.

On August 28, 1971, the feast of Saint Augustine, the members of the Marian Group gathered at the shrine of Our Lady of Etchemin for their annual day of prayer. On the evening of that same day, Marie-Paule received from the Lord this information: “TODAY SAW THE FOUNDING OF THE ARMY OF MARY” – a Work He had foretold to her in 1954, the Marian year in honor of the centenary of the proclamation of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception.

Marie-Paule’s First Meeting with Ida Peerdeman
In fact, between March 11 and April 16, 1973, Marie-Paule undertook a first trip to Europe accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Laura Bégin, a friend Mrs. Rose Dessureault, and Father Philippe Roy, Spiritual Advisor of the Army of Mary. This trip which unfolded according to providential events led them, on March 20, to Amsterdam in the company of Mr. Joseph Spauwen from Lanaken, Belgium.

In volume VIII of Life of Love, Marie-Paule recounts:

“At eight o’clock, in the company of Mr. Joseph Spauwen of Lanaken, we set off from Chèvremont for Holland. Mr. Spauwen is an upright man, most discreet, exceptionally kind and touchingly humble. He is our interpreter when, at eleven o’clock, we meet with the seeress, Miss Ida Peerdeman, and her director Father Kerssemakers, of the Congregation of the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament. We discuss the book, ‘The Lady of All Peoples’, and we furnish the explanations that are needed. Miss Ida wrote this book without understanding the meaning and significance of what it contains. (...) Then we go to view the painting of the Lady of All Peoples that is hanging in the chapel of the Congregation of the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament. This meeting has made us very happy” (chapter 54).

Marie-Paule’s Second Meeting with Ida Peerdeman
In September 1974, the Army of Mary set out on a first pilgrimage to Europe. Three hundred and thirty-two Knights of Mary will pray at Fatima, Lourdes, Paris, Lisieux, Rome and Assisi. A solemn ceremony of the Army of Mary was held at Saint Peter’s Basilica.

From September 22 to October 14, 1977, Mary led her Knights for the fourth year in a row in a crusade of prayer and penance which would lead them to Europe and the Holy Land. On Thursday, September 22, a first contingent left Montreal, headed for the Netherlands.

Their sojourn in Amsterdam was marked by several graces recounted in volume XV of Life of Love.

[On September 23, 1977], we make our way to the chapel of the Lady of All Peoples. At four o’clock in the afternoon, there is an interview with Miss Ida Peerdeman, the seeress, and her director, Father Kerssemakers of the Congregation of the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament.

“Mass is celebrated at five o’clock in the afternoon. During this ceremony, Ida receives a grace. Here is an account of it:

“ ‘During the Eucharistic celebration, at which the Army of Mary from Canada assisted, at the moment of the Offertory, the ‘Light’ came upon the altar and the priests. Afterwards, the ‘Light’ also spread out over all the persons present.

“ ‘When I had received ‘Our Lord’, I heard, in the French language (Ida does not speak French): ‘It is a great day today. The ‘Light’ is shining on all of you.’ The ‘Light’ remained until the end of Holy Mass.’ After Mass, Ida passes along this message, which I deeply appreciate, for it alludes to the ‘LIGHT’ which is dealt with in volume XIV, chapter 4.

[September 24, 1977]. The Knights of Mary are present for the Eucharistic concelebration in the chapel of the Lady of All Peoples. After this religious ceremony, the directors of the Army of Mary are invited to meet with Ida and her spiritual director. Ida passes a message to us:

“ ‘During Mass, at the moment of the Offertory, the ‘Light’ came upon the altar and the priests. Slowly it spread out over all the congregation.

“ ‘When I had received ‘Our Lord’, I heard, in the French language: ‘This also is a great day. The Holy Spirit is with you.’ Then I heard in Dutch: ‘My sons, be united among you – and all of you!’ At that moment, I saw the terrestrial globe, and in the countries, groups, more or less large, being formed. Above one of these groups, an ‘A’ and an ‘M’ were taking shape, while above the other, the cross of the Militia of Jesus Christ was formed. A luminous arc appeared and joined them together. Then the ‘Voice’ said, ‘You are going to fight for the Lady of All Peoples. That is my order.’

“ ‘Marie-Paule was seated beside me in the chapel; and it was as if a hand were pointing her out, and I heard: ‘She is the Handmaid.’ The ‘Light’ remained until the end of Mass.’

“Then turning to me, Ida adds the following words:

“ ‘That is my order; she will have much strength. You can tell that to Bishop van Lierde.’

“Ida and Father Kerssemakers pass us this message. I make note of the ‘words’ as they are relayed by Ida. Sometimes Father Kerssemakers makes comments on these words, but I note uniquely the words of Ida in all their purity” (Life of Love XV, chapter 1).

“Life of Love”
In May 1979, the time had come to publish Life of Love, the first volume of which was available for the members in the course of that same month. The other volumes will follow, at such a pace that the thirteen French volumes will be published in thirteen months. These volumes, written on the order of her spiritual director, relate the events which occurred in the lengthy preparation of a mission – that of Marie-Paule – the purpose of which is to help the Church get through the current storm. Only those facts which are related to a divine intervention are recounted and the subsequent fulfillment of what was foretold demonstrates its authenticity.

“This ‘Life of Love’, lived and written in the blood of the ‘pierced’ soul, is replete with God's strength.... This story was born of a life of prayer and penance lived in obedience to God, who, through graces made manifest in divers ways, expressed to me His will, through ‘pictures’, ‘desires’, or ‘orders’ ” (Marie-Paule, Life of Love, Appendix I, page 7).

Now, on January 27, 1985, the Lord told Marie-Paule:

“ ‘LIFE OF LOVE’ IS THE WORK OF THE LADY OF ALL PEOPLES”
(Life of Love, Appendix I, p. 283).

In fact, Life of Love fulfills several messages given to the seeress in Amsterdam. While Mary was stating Her role of Co-Redemptrix to Ida Peerdeman in the Netherlands, She was preparing her handmaid, Marie-Paule, in Quebec who, without realizing it, would painfully fulfill Mary’s plan of love.

The Work of the Lady of All Peoples is the Work of the Co-Redemptrix. Mary Immaculate received that title at the moment Christ died on the cross. Let us leave it to the Lady of All Peoples to explain clearly to us, in her messages, that which is so simple:

Mary in Quebec.

“The Father sent the Lord Jesus Christ; and He sent Him as Savior of all peoples. The Lord Jesus Christ WAS such from the beginning; He BECAME such at the moment of the Sacrifice and of His return to the Father.

“Myriam, or Mary, BECAME the Handmaid of the Lord, and it was the Father and the Holy Spirit who elected her. Through this election, she WAS, from the beginning, Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate for all peoples. But it was only with the death of the God-Man, the Lord Jesus Christ, that she BECAME the Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate.

“As He was departing, the Lord Jesus Christ, in a single gesture, made to the peoples the gift of Myriam, or Mary, SHE the Lady of All Peoples. And this was when He pronounced these words: ‘WOMAN, BEHOLD THY SON; SON, BEHOLD THY MOTHER’. (...)

“And now, but only now, she comes into the world as the Lady of All Peoples. Why now? Because the Lord waited for THIS TIME. The other dogmas had to precede.

“As the Life had to precede the Lady of All Peoples, so the earlier dogmas concern THE LIFE and the departure of the Lady” (The Lady of All Peoples, 43rd apparition, October 5, 1952, based on Raoul Auclair’s translation, Éditions Stella).

LIFE OF LOVE is the Work of the Lady of All Peoples and
the fulfillment of her mission as Co-Redemptrix.

But the Lady warned us: “The powers of hell will be unleashed. They will not vanquish the Lady of All Peoples” (December 3, 1953). In fact, what an unleashing there has been against her Work and the handmaid, who, day after day, are relentlessly “bitten”!
